Dare County reports 11th COVID-19 death

Dare County Health and Human Services on Friday reported an 11th COVID-19 death on its daily pandemic dashboard, the fourth within two days last week.

Health officials have not yet released details on the deaths. The county has seen 2,650 COVID-19 cases since testing began in March, with 195 cases currently active among county residents. Among those, six people are hospitalized.

Statewide, North Carolina has seen 799,279 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began with 9,991 deaths.
