Vehicle fire shuts down eastbound Wright Memorial Bridge

A vehicle on fire Saturday afternoon has shut down traffic headed into the Outer Banks on the Wright Memorial Bridge.

The incident occurred around 2:50 p.m. just before the navigation span of the bridge that carries U.S. 158 from Point Harbor to Kitty Hawk.

At 3:15 p.m., traffic headed westbound was stopped at the foot of the bridge in Kitty Hawk by police.
