Crab pot bandits caught on camera at the N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island

Finding the crap pot empty at the education dock, staff at the N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island set up a camera to capture whatever soundside shenanigans might be happening when they weren’t looking.

“The mystery of the empty crabpot is solved! River otters have been snacking on blue crabs while hanging out on our soundside educational dock,” the aquarium said in a Facebook post. The camera also captured otters with the zoomies, otters doing a “poop dance” and otters trying to take out the camera.

A much more mature creature, a great blue heron, also makes a cameo. Check out the video here:
